About us…
We are a non-profit making papillon and phalene rescue run totally by volunteers and which relies relies on fund raising events and donation to carry out the task of rescuing, re-homing and, when needed, the rehabilation of papillons and phalenes.
So far, during the period to June 2011, 28 dogs have come through rescue and all been successfully found new loving homes. |
It is unfortunate that so many papillons and phalenes come into rescue through no fault of their own and under varying circumstances in their home life. Quite a number are coming in with behavioural and physical problems and, although every care is taken to ensure that the right home is found to match each particular dog's needs, extra care has to be taken to ensure that these little dogs, who are in need of extra input, are found the most suitable homes in which the new owner can continue the training already outlined by our rescue co-ordinator.
To help us to help them, please take the time to browse through this site and find out ways in which you can help us in our work of rescuing and re-homing these little dogs. Thank you. |

Our aims…
Papillon Rescue UK has the following aims:- | |
To relieve the suffering and distress of Papillon dogs in need of care, attention, and rehoming as a result of ill treatment, hardship, neglect or change of family circumstances
Whilst in the care of our rescue co-ordinator, they receive full veterinary attention, are micro-chipped, wormed, inoculated, neutered where necessary, together with a dental check before being placed in a home most appropriate to each particular dog. At times there are papillons who need extra attention due to temperament issues and these receive special rehabilitation training by our fully qualified rescue co-ordinator. No dog has ever been put to sleep due to such issues and homes have always been found.
Help to further research into diseases and health issues affecting Papillons and Phalenes
To help members of the public to be aware of the breed requirements in order to help them maintain responsible ownership
